Why should a table tennis player not like badminton?

I asked this 11 year old yesterday at my table tennis tournament if he liked badminton. He was Asian no less. You'd think he'd appreciate a racquet sport from his background country. What's not to like about it? He said that he doesn't like badminton. I love racquet sports in general. The Big 3, table tennis, badminton, and tennis, in that order of favorite to least favorite.
