Can getting raped at a young age effect you in the future? ?

My friend was raped when she was younger (6 yrs) by a family friend and she thinks there is something wrong with her now..she has always had problems in that area and sometimes she will get really Sharp pains in her private area and she says they are not like period cramps they are 10x worse and sometimes she can't even walk..could her being raped at such a young age be the cause of this and she is worried she won't be able to have kids because of this..her fam doesn't know and she will not go to a doctor because she is afraid he will tell her family..
